• Please read this document carefully for dates & information you’ll need to know for the beginning of the year! 

    Registration (required for ALL students, new and returning---online is encouraged) 

    • ONLINE July 31 - August 8 @ www.hillsboroschools.net   (see online instructions on back), or
    • IN PERSON Tuesday, August 5 between 10:00am-5:00 p.m. at Coffeen Early Childhood Center.

    In-person registration is available for those who do not have computer access, or need assistance with the online process.  It will take approximately 15 minutes.  Your child does not need to be present.

     

    **If you do not register or contact us in regard to placement by August 8, we will not be able to hold your child’s spot.

     

    Please bring the following REQUIRED documents to registration, Parent Orientation or Open House if you did not turn them in at screening: 

    • Physical, Immunizations, & Lead Screening Results (new students only)
    • Accurate addresses for bussing (please let us know if you plan to transport yourself)
    • Birth Certificate (from courthouse….not the hospital footprints)

     

    Home Visits:  Week of August 18-20  (For students new to Pre-K only)

    Your child’s teacher will contact you to schedule a brief 15 minute visit at your house to meet your child.   

     

    COFFEEN Parent Orientation (for families NEW to Hillsboro PreK) Tuesday, August 19 @6:00pm 

    This is for Parents/Guardians Only. Your pre-k child does NOT need to attend.  We encourage families to make other childcare arrangements during this time, but if you have no other options, childcare will be provided in the school gym.

    HCCDC Parent Orientation: Thursday, Aug. 21 @4:30 or 5:30pm

    COFFEEN Open House: Thursday, August 21, 10:00am-12:00pm, OR 4:00pm-6:30pm (come and go)

    For Parents/Guardians AND preschoolers

    • You may bring your school supplies/donations at this time & explore the classroom with your child.  
    • Bus Times & Information will be given at this time.
    • Bring any inhalers or medicine to the school nurse for those with asthma/allergy medical plans.

     

    First Day Pre-K:   Monday, August 25   

    Coffeen     AM Class:  8:15 - 10:50             PM Class 11:50 - 2:30 

     

    If you received a placement letter but do NOT plan to enroll your child in our pre-k this school year,  PLEASE call or email me as soon as possible, so that we can fill your spot with another student on our waiting list.

    *If your child has not already had a screening  with us & completed our enrollment paperwork, or signed up for an August screening, please call or email us immediately to schedule a screening.  All children must attend a screening before being eligible to enroll in a preschool classroom.
