2017 TOP TOPPERS AT HHS
The Top Topper is awarded monthly to an HHS student showing exemplified characteristics in leadership, attitude, and direction. Teachers of HHS nominate students with administration making the final decision.

Eden
Edwards has been chosen as the April Top Topper for the month of April at
HHS. Eden is the daughter of Patti
Marsee and Wade Edwards. Eden’s favorite
class is study hall because she has been given the opportunity to work with
Kelly Kenny and Betsy Homa as an office worker.
Eden is on the Topperettes Dance Team at HHS and this was her fifth year
participating in operetta. Eden enjoys
80’s music and her mother and teachers motivate her in life to be
successful. Eden’s advice to other
students is: “If you have a problem with
procrastination, try your hardest to break it.” Eden’s inspirational quote is “You have two
hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others” by Audrey
Hepburn. Eden would like to give a shout out to Betsy and Kelly for being two of
the most amazing women she knows. After
high school, Eden plans on attending the University of Spa and Cosmetology Arts
in Springfield, Illinois.

Gunner
Lentz has been chosen as the Junior Top Topper for the month of April at
HHS. Gunner’s parents are John and
Chrissie Lentz. Gunner’s favorite class
is welding at OKAW Vocational School where he goes every morning for
classes. Gunner’s favorite hobbies are
hunting and fishing. At HHS Hunter is
actively involved in the football program.
Gunner’s favorite type of music is country. Aaron Duff, his football coach, is the person
in life who motivates him the most to be successful. Gunner would like to give a shout out to
Peyton Tester for all of his life’s accomplishments. After high school, Gunner
would like to go to school to become a lineman.

Madeline
May has been chosen as the Sophomore Top Topper for the month of April at
HHS. Madeline’s parents are Jim and
Christine May. Madeline enjoys hanging out with her family and friends,
watching Criminal Minds and eating delicious food in her spare time. In addition, she likes to read romance
books. Madeline is currently the
vice-president of the junior class and in the Topper Art Club. She is also on the Topperette Dance Team and
plays on the HHS tennis team. Her family and friends motivate her to be
successful in life. Her advice to other
students is to “just be yourself because it is a lot easier to have fun in high
school if you aren’t always pretending to be someone else.” Her inspirational quote she would like to
share is: “She believed she could, so
she did.” Madeline would like to give a
shout out to her sister, Layla May, because she makes her laugh more than
anyone else. After high school Madeline would like to travel and just be happy.

Emily
Reynolds is the freshman Top Topper this month at HHS. Emily is the daughter of Tim and Ann
Reynolds. Emily’s favorite class is
Geometry because it is challenging and she is good at it. Emily enjoys playing sports, including
basketball, volleyball and softball at HHS.
Emily enjoys reading mystery books and she is also the class president
for the freshman class at HHS this year.
Emily would like to mention her whole family motivates her, especially
her mom. They support her in her
decisions and push her to do her best.
Emily’s advice to other students is to not be afraid and to get out of
their comfort zones because it will help you in the end. Emily’s inspirational quote is: “Let your smile change the world, but don’t
let the world change your smile.” After
high school Emily plans to go to college to pursue a job in the medical field.
